The short version
- This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. See the Cookie Notice.
- Lipi keeps its data on your own computer. We run no server that collects your Claude usage, chats, prompts or login details.
- Information leaves your computer only when you act: you send us a message, you hand a chat off to another AI site, or you activate a paid licence.
- Two things in Lipi deserve a clear look before you use them: the prompt history it keeps, and the saved-account feature, which stores login cookies on your computer. Both are explained below.
1. Who we are
Engramium ("we", "us") runs this website at www.engramium.com and makes Lipi, a Chrome extension that works with claude.ai. Lipi is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Anthropic, and Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC.
The organisation responsible for your information is [legal entity name and registered address]. You can reach us through the contact page.
2. This website
What we receive
| Information | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time | Whenever you load a page. Our web host records this in its server logs. | To serve the site, keep it secure and fix faults. |
| Name, email address, topic and message. Phone number and company only if you add them. | When you use the contact form or email us. | To reply to you. |
Our web host is [hosting provider].
The contact form
At the moment the form opens your own email program with your message filled in, so the message reaches us through your email provider and ours. If we connect a form service, your details will pass through [form service provider] on their way to us, and we will update this section.
Third-party requests
Fonts, styles and scripts are served from this site. The home page loads one preview image from YouTube (img.youtube.com), which means your browser sends an ordinary request to Google, including your IP address. Links to YouTube, X, LinkedIn, GitHub, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram take you to those services, which have their own policies.
3. Lipi, the Chrome extension
Lipi runs in your browser on claude.ai. It reads your usage from claude.ai using the account you are already signed in to, and shows it back to you. This section lists everything Lipi stores or sends.
What Lipi stores on your computer
All of this lives in the extension's local storage in your browser profile. Uninstalling Lipi removes it.
| Data | What it is |
|---|---|
| Usage figures and history | Your session and weekly usage, reset times, and a record of your usage by hour for up to 40 days, used for forecasts and Insights. |
| Settings | Your refresh interval, alert thresholds and similar choices. |
| Prompt library | Prompts, folders and favourites you save, and your changes to templates. |
| Prompt history | When you open the History tab, Lipi reads your recent conversations on claude.ai (the last 90 days, skipping temporary chats) and keeps the text of your own messages, up to 10,000 characters each and about 5 MB in total, so you can search and reuse them. It is not encrypted. It is cleared when you switch accounts or sign out. |
| Chat titles and size estimates | Titles and a rough size of the chats you open, used for the context meter. Cleared when you switch accounts or sign out. |
| Saved accounts (Pro) | If you save an account, Lipi keeps that account's claude.ai login cookies on your computer so it can switch between accounts. These cookies work like a key to the account, and they are stored without encryption. Anyone who can read your browser profile files could use them. Do not use this feature on a shared or untrusted computer, and delete a saved account when you no longer need it. |
| Licence key and status | If you buy Pro, the key and whether it is valid. |
What leaves your computer
- Requests to claude.ai. Lipi asks claude.ai for your usage and chat data using your signed-in session, the same way the site does. By default it refreshes usage about once a minute, even when no Claude tab is open. You can lengthen the interval in Settings. Anthropic's privacy policy governs what claude.ai does with those requests.
- Hand-off, only when you choose it. Hand-off copies a chat to another AI site. For ChatGPT and Gemini, Lipi can fill the message box for you after you approve access to that site. For Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek and Kimi it copies the text to your clipboard for you to paste. Lipi never presses send. The site you pick then handles the text under its own terms.
- Fork. Opens a new claude.ai chat that starts from an earlier conversation.
- Licence check (Pro). When you activate or re-check a licence, Lipi sends your licence key to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com). It is the only place Lipi sends information outside claude.ai and the sites you choose.
The clipboard
Hand-off puts the whole chat, up to about 120,000 characters, on your clipboard. It stays there until you copy something else, and clipboard-history tools on your computer may keep it. Copy something else afterwards if the chat is sensitive.
What Lipi does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, advertising or tracking.
- No remote code. Everything Lipi runs ships inside the extension.
- We do not receive, store or sell your usage, chats, prompts or cookies, and we have no server that collects them.
- Lipi never sends a message to any AI service on your behalf.
Lipi uses claude.ai's internal, undocumented pages and endpoints. Anthropic can change them without notice, and Lipi may stop working or show wrong numbers until it is updated. Its figures are estimates.
4. Why Lipi asks for each permission
Chrome shows these permissions when you install or update Lipi.
| Permission | What Lipi uses it for |
|---|---|
| Access to claude.ai | Reading your usage and chats, and showing the usage strip on the page. |
| storage, unlimitedStorage | Keeping the data listed above on your computer. |
| cookies | Finding your active organisation on claude.ai and, for Pro, saving and restoring accounts. |
| alarms | Refreshing usage on a schedule and re-checking a licence. |
| notifications | Showing limit alerts. |
| clipboardWrite | Copying a chat for hand-off. |
| tabs, activeTab | Finding your Claude tab and opening pages for hand-off and fork. |
| scripting | Filling the message box on ChatGPT or Gemini after you approve hand-off to them. |
| downloads | Saving your exports to your computer. |
| Access to chatgpt.com and gemini.google.com (optional) | Only if you approve it, for hand-off auto-fill. |
5. How we use information
We use the information we receive to reply to messages, to provide and support Lipi and this website, to keep them secure, and to meet legal obligations. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and supporting our products, on performing a contract when you buy a licence, and on your consent where you give it.
7. International transfers
Engramium operates from [country of operation], and our providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we use them.
8. How long we keep it
We keep messages you send us for as long as needed to answer you and for [retention period] afterwards, unless the law requires longer. Server logs are kept for [log retention period]. Lipi's data stays on your computer until you delete it: use the reset in Lipi's Settings, delete saved accounts, or uninstall the extension.
9. Your choices and rights
For the information we hold about you, you can ask us to give you a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, or send it to you in a portable format. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us.
Everything Lipi stores is already in your hands. You can read, export, delete or reset it yourself, and nothing about it depends on us.
10. Children
Our website and Lipi are not directed to children under 13, or under the age set by the law where you live. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Security
We protect the information we hold with reasonable measures, but no system is perfectly secure. Lipi's local data is only as safe as your computer and browser profile, so keep your device locked and your browser up to date.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects what Lipi collects or sends, we will say so in the extension's release notes and on the Lipi page.
13. Contact us
Questions about this policy or your information: use the contact page, or write to engramium@gmail.com.
